Cloud computing is a technology that uses the Internet and centralized remote servers to host data and applications. Cloud computing allows consumers and businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files from any computer with Internet access. This technology allows for more efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth.
Types of Cloud Computing
There are three types of cloud services and there may be more in the future. But these three are the three most popular types of services we can identify.
Software as a Service(SAAS)
Infrastructure as a Service(IAAS)
Platform as a Service(PAAS)
Software As A Service (SAAS)
SaaS applications simply provide software services over the Internet as they provide the services of various software over the Internet. This software may be called on-demand software. SaaS applications simply provide software services over the Internet. Most of the commercial software that we can observe today is distributed as SaaS products because this service is the most demanding and trending category in computing.

Platform As A Service (PAAS)
This is mostly for developers. Developers, as programmers, can enjoy various web applications that provide infrastructure and services over the cloud. These serve as platforms. If you want to develop powerful software or applications, you don’t need a powerful computer. Now one can build using this platform. Therefore, it is a virtual development environment. Applications can be developed, tested, run and managed on these platforms.

Infrastructure as a Service(IAAS)
This allows web application developers to use some hardware resources on the cloud. Servers are some hardware devices used to store data content for web applications. An infrastructure as a service type of application can be enjoyed through the cloud. So there are very powerful platforms and applications for this.

Advantages of Cloud Computing
➢ Cost reduction
Cloud technology pays off over time and saves organizations money.
➢ Increase storage
Organizations can store more data than personal computer systems.
➢ Highly automatic
IT workers no longer have to worry about keeping software up-to-date.
➢ Flexibility
Cloud computing offers much more flexibility than previous computing methods.
➢ Greater mobility
Instead of staying at their desks, employees can access information wherever they are.
➢ Information technology enables focus
Government agencies no longer have to worry about constant server updates and other IT issues.
